Daebak! DramaFever Drama Club

OH MY GAWD! Daebak felt like it would NEVER END. I had been intrigued by what a Jang Geun Suk historical drama would be like, figured it would be fun and light, full of adventure and comedy and romance.

WRONG. This was a serious political drama (with just a hint of gambling and action thrown in). I can’t necessarily say it was awful, but it was not at all what I was expecting, so it totally threw me off. If it hadn’t been for the Drama Club, I don’t think I would have finished this one. Of course Yeo Jin Goo was amazing as well–such a talented young actor! (I like to call him Little Micky Samdong–that’s a long story…hahaha)

Anyway, you can check out the Drama Club here. You can probably tell I wasn’t feeling it.

Come Back, Mister DramaFever Drama Club

Please Come Back, Mister! was an interesting and mostly enjoyable show. It was a bit of a departure from the typical K-drama, and the friendship between the two leads (in different bodies–it’s a long story) was AMAZING. Rain is hilarious, and I’m a new fan of Oh Yeon Seo! She was probably the best part of this whole drama. And her relationship with Lee Ha Nui (Song Yi Yeon) was soooooo steammmmmy. //drools// Loved that little bit of queer love in this.

Madame Antoine DramaFever Drama Club

There’s only two more episodes of Madame Antoine! This has certainly been an interesting show, though maybe not my favorite. But who doesn’t love Sung Joon? (Even when he’s a heartless bastard…)

Despite my questions as to whether I fully enjoyed this drama or not, I’ve TOTALLY enjoyed writing with my two lovely writing partners Cici and Wendilynn. Possibly my favorite Drama club writing group so far. They’re both so smart and funny. Love it.

My group recaps of the sometimes frustrating and always entertaining Cheese in the Trap. Another interesting drama from TvN. Though many people were unhappy with the way the drama ended, I wasn’t too disappointed. Take a look.

I will say I’m enjoying the Webtoon a bit more. If you want to check that, click on the link HERE.

Secret Message DramaFever Drama Club

SecretMessage

What an interesting little web drama this was! Short episodes that go back and forth between Japan and Korea. A bit of lost in translation and a bit of You Got Mail. This was enjoyable from beginning to end. And let’s not forget the amazing quirkiness from TOP.

Twenty Again DramaFever Drama Club

Twenty Again

My group recaps of the inspiring and adorable Twenty Again. Again, another great departure from TvN. They’ve been coming out with a lot of great stuff recently. Here’s hoping the newest, Cheese in the Trap follows in the footsteps of these other mold-breaking K-dramas!
